African Full Contact Karate Organization congratulates WFKO fighter
History has been made today when for the 1st time a South African has won the world title in the highly demanding full contact system of Karate known as Kyokushin. Anele Madlala, a WSU NMD BSc student and member of Mthatha Oyama Dojo in ĶSD Local Municipality in the O.R. Tambo District brought home the World Kyokushin Fighting Organisation 80kg belt after defeating the Russian Andrei Kizov in a closely contested bout in Suzdal, Russia. Special thanks must go to Sensei Shaun Burgess of the African Chapter of WKFO and to Sensei Thulani Sibisi the Head of the African Full Contact Karate Organisation as well as to the WSU Sports Department for affording such an opportunity to the young athlete. Special thanks to Mr Makeleni of the WSU Sports Office. Anele has made or done Mthatha Oyama Dojo, WSU, KSD, O.R. Tambo District, Eastern Cape Province, South Africa and indeed the African continent proud. Thanks to those – across all organisations – who have sent him words of support and encouragement throughout. Thanks to his Dojo mates and all those who have supported him during his hard preparatory training training. This Province is never short of talent; all that is needed by its athletes is support financially and otherwise; that’s all. Osu!
